My Body

Today we are going to discover the parts of our body, and what better way to do it than to start singing. Go for it!
What did you think of the song?

Now I propose a game in pairs, one of you will have a blog of drawing and crayons, the other partner, will describe a monster for which they have the drawing blog draw it. The companion who describes the monster will invent a very strange one, with several feet, many arms, or just one, several eyes, mouths, ears ... you will have to tell your partner how many feet he has, how many eyes, how many arms, how many heads He has the monster. Then you change the role, and the one you were drawing now describes a monster that is invented and the other partner will draw it. I leave this image as an example of what you can do:
I can not think of anything better to finish this part than playing it. I am going to share a link to "Mundo Primaria" in which you can play online with a boy who you will have to identify his body parts. This way we will learn more about the parts of the body and we will play using the ICT that we all like so much.

Looking for more online games, I have seen that the website "Brithis Council" has a section dedicated only to games. I have seen that they are very fun and educational, so I share the link to this webside as well.

I hope you enjoyed and learned equally with these post.

Thank you for visiting and leave your comments, which will undoubtedly help me improve them.

  1. I think your blog is great, because it includes several useful and practice activities to learn English in a very funy way for children. It is very creative to, however, I Would put more enphasis in the different skills, I mean, when I see your blog, I can see all the activities togheter, and they don't really make a difference if they are going to work one skill or another.

  2. Thank you very much for your comment Arulla. I think it's a good way to work the different skills as you put it. In my blog I've done it differently because I thought it could be more fun and educational to mix the skills, so in the same activity we can work all or just some of them. Students will be learning and putting their skills into practice using all or some of them and seeing the foreign language more as a tool than as an objective.

I thank you very much that you took time to see the forum and consider how to improve it. Thank you.

    Regards,

  5. Lola,
I think your blog's layout is quite attractive for children who are at first cycle of Primary Education. The pictures and colours are perfect for them.
About the activities, I would say that the one about describing a monster to each other is useful because they are practising three different skills: listening , speaking and use of English.
However, the link about games from British Council is too difficult for children who are 6 or 7. The wouldn't know how to use this resource properly, without the teacher's or parents'help.
In general, it is good that you explain every activity carefully, before children do them. Maybe you should have included other reading and writing tasks.
Anyway, I think your blog is interesting and I will use some of the activities you have shared.
    Thanks a lot
